  • In a post back in 2007 you mentioned you had a tiny Teisco amp with 2X6AQ5 power tubes, trem, reverb, and 2x5" speakers. Do you remember what model it was? I did some research and can't find anything even close to that for some reason! Thanks!

I did not know th model back then...
However, today I fond this site... http://www.larryjohnmcnally.com/Teisco/72C.html
By the description, the Model 72-C fits the bill. I may have been mistaken in my description of the size of the speakers as this description says they were 6 1/2” speakers, but this is the amp.
Awesome...I'm Jason Hayes. I was in Lubbock from 1995-2000 and you helped me many times with repairs and such. (My friend Cody McClain recommended you to me) I bought a 66 Bassman from you once. Are you still in business? I enjoyed coming to your store. I've never given it up and am working on a new band currently here in Dallas

Jason, I remember..good to hear from you. I am still open for business, and I am glad you found my place and service of worth. Let me know if there is anything I can ever do or if you are looking for something. I have customers from the metroplex area that still believe in my work enough to make the trip.
Ok, if you thought that was a tough one, I'm now looking for a bridge cover for my '67 with original Bigsby. Have one for my '74 Thinline Bigsby, so I know they exist, but... Looks very similar and maybe even be the same as Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge cover, but again, I'm not certain. Do you happen to know?
    Wally
    Wally
I have never seen such a cover except in pictures. And yes.....the bridge looks like a Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge.
    Hey Wally,

Received the bridge cover yesterday. Looks great, fits great, no issues. Thanks again for helping me out!

I’m glad you received it and are pleased. I got three of these in an auction of a store’s assets over 20 years ago. They were in a box of odds and ends.

    Enjoy,,

    Hey Wally,
I would be interested in one of those vintage strat bridge covers if you can spare one. If you wouldn't mind sending me a quick photo along with a price you would want for one, I'm sure we can work a deal.

Thanks so much for helping me out with this,

    Cas
I saw that you had one in a previous thread and was hoping you might could help. This is pretty close to a complete build. My first issue is sourcing the correct replacement transformers and I understand that the 5b5s were the last pros to have a choke, looking at the schematic it's not making sense to me where this goes . Thanks for any help
Hi Wally I'm a novice but a person close to me passed away and left me a 5b5 pro ...sort a... Seams like someone had gone through and mutalated it...I would like to put it back to being a 5b5.
hi, Schmee tells me you might know where I could find a potentiometer for a Lab Series amp (L11). thanks for any info you might have

Hello, Klee. I have never needed OT replace a pot in mine, but I hear that a young customer has just bought a Lab that needs work....and that he is probably going to bring it to me. In case I need such an item, could you share where you found the part you needed. I suppose that Inwould start looking at Mouser or DigiTech as a beginning???

    Wally
    Hey Wally -
I know you have one of those little Rickenbacker amps w/the copper chassis (I forget the model name - B9 ?) I might buy milocj’s Electro version of the same amp
    Thanks ! Mike E
Hi, Do you still have fender Vaporizer schematic?
Dear Wally, I’m desesperatly looking for a speaker Oxford 10k5. I know you were ask for it some years ago. By chance I only need one, do you think it’s possible?
    Many thanks

Hello, Peter. Iirc, I do not have one of those, but I will check to see just in case my memory is off. I do have a couple of vintage Jensen C10Q’s.

Hi...I saw your post awhile back on Reverb Tank, inducters loose and applying super glue. I have a Marshall Reverb 12. The reverb springs are inside the chassis. I am getting a low ringing of these springs at higher volumes.
When you say inducters...are they the little squarish pieces of plastic wrapped in wire like a coil? If this is what you are referring too, but I will try if they are...thanks!
    Wally
    Wally
Yes, on each end there is a coil through which the laminates pass. I can’t say that I have ever heard loose inductors to cause feedback like that, but things happen...
Hey Wally, I'm located in Lubbock. Do you have any vintage tube amps for sale at the moment?

    Thanks,

    Brandon

What are you looking for....pickings are slim, but I have a few things of interest.
Hey Wally, would you text me your address.... I'm getting closer to having the coin to have you service my Princeton NR. We talked about this a while back.....I'll order the cap can as you suggested...... Also would you need my tubes?
    Thanks
    Greg
